THIS  IS  WHAT  WE  DO

ADPT is an end-to-end video production company based in Chicago.

We've completed projects for large institutions, start-ups, universities, musicians,

super PACs and not-for-profits.

Here are some samples of our work.

WHAT THIS IS

The first of a 4 video explainer series on how to use Rogaine.

WHAT WE DID

We came up with the concept, the character, the scripts, and the gags with feedback from the client, and then filmed and edited the series entirely in-house. Our goal was to create a positive, inspiring character who could subvert the anxiety of hair loss with charm and humor, and we're really proud of the result.

WHAT THIS IS

An instructional video for the hit game Secret Hitler, featuring  voice over by Wil Wheaton.

WHAT WE DID

Everything except the script, and we did it all within a week. The game was a sudden smash hit on Kickstarter, and when the creators needed someone to help fulfill a stretch goal at the last minute, they turned to us. This video was featured on Polygon, the app for the game, and on Amazon.

WHAT THIS IS

An admissions video for The Theatre School at DePaul University.

WHAT WE DID

We followed three students over a month to capture day-to-day life of students in one of the best theatre programs in the country.  We've been honored to work with The Theatre School since 2013, and as former theater kids ourselves, it warms our hearts to see their enthusiasm and creativity.

WHAT THIS IS

An advocacy video about the work of the National Immigrant Justice Center.

WHAT WE DID

We produced this mini-doc as part of a series highlighting the personal stories of undocumented immigrants who have faced imprisonment and deportation, without knowing they were eligible for asylum. This video was used online and shown at volunteer events for the NIJC.

WHAT THIS IS

"I'm Sorry, Episode 2" part of a web series for Gilded Cinema.

WHAT WE DID

We partnered with local improvisers to create this comedic series with simple rules: Only one shot, the camera pushes in slowly, and someone is really, really sorry. We produced 10 episodes, and 4 behind the scenes videos to document how we created the series on a minuscule budget.

THIS  IS  WHO  WE  ARE

We call ourselves directors, but really, we're just

a bunch of Animals Doing People Things.

ZACHARY SIGELKO

Zach is a director, DP and producer who got his start in the circus and has worked on everything from Sundance- nominated feature films to interactive documentaries. His work has been featured in Polygon, the Washington Post, and as an Editor's Pick at The Atlantic. He's a founder of ADPT, a graduate of USC's film school, a musician and a puppeteer. More of his work can be found at zigelko.com

JEREMY SENDER

Jeremy is a filmmaker and comedian who has lived in four different time zones. He earned a BFA in film from Emerson College and his thesis project was not that bad, all things considered. Since then he has worked for clients including A&E Networks, The Jim Henson Company, and Buzzfeed. He is also a regular contributor to the iO Comedy Network, and his work can be found here.

CHRIS JOHNSON

Chris graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Economics, and returned to his native Chicago to help found ADPT. He enjoys Tina Turner, cigars, and horseracing, and is an accomplished improviser and certified personal trainer.

We're a member of Some Office, a collective of

independent artists and creative freelancers

 founded by Cards Against Humanity,

located in Bucktown, Chicago.

We're always looking for new projects.
